EZ-EYE General Purpose Photoelectric Sensor

EZ-EYE™ miniature photoelectric sensors offer an affordable one-button solution that is EZ to align and EZ to adjust. Optimized for a variety of automated machine control applications, the setup is simple using our unique one-touch Autoset™ routine. Place the sensor in the Light State condition and press the button once for a perfect setting.

Whether your task requires detection of large objects or small parts, the EZ-EYE™family offers universal functionality via Infrared or Visible Red light source and interchangeable optical blocks: Diffuse, Retroreflective, Polarized Retroreflective, Convergent, Fiberoptic (Glass or Plastic).

Push-Button setup
Single push of the button light-state setup.  Press and hold to access manual adjust and output polarity features.

Dual and Triple color indicators
Beam status indicator (Green) light when beam is made and also indicates when sensor has been manually adjusted (Amber).  Output indicator glows red when output is on, green during alignment procedure and flashes green for a good setup.

Interchangeable optical blocks
Select sensing mode. Ten varieties of optical blocks are available for operating the EZ-EYE, such as retroreflective, polarized retroreflective, proximity, fiberoptic or convergent sensing modes. A simple change of the optical block can be very useful in determining the best sensing mode for your specific sensing task. These inexpensive, interchangeable optical blocks eliminate the need for discarding a complete sensor in the case of damage to the optical block.

LIGHT SOURCE SELECTION

Infrared Light Source
Invisible light – recommended in opaque object sensing applications. Infrared LED light source provides long-range sensing in either Beam Make or Beam Break modes. Infrared light maximizes the sensor’s ability to penetrate contamination found in harsh environments.

Red (Visible) Light Source
Visible red LED light source recommended for sensing transparent/translucent objects. Outperforms infrared light in many moderate to low contrast applications. Also recommended for use with plastic fiberoptic light guides.

Features and Options:

  • Single button push AUTOSET
  • NPN and PNP outputs
